Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (55%), Rat (55%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Vasopressin V1B receptor expression has been documented in the pituitary, pituitary tumors, pheochromocytoma, breast cancer, and small-cell lung carcinomas. G-protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) comprise one of the largest families of signaling molecules with more than a thousand members currently predicted to exist. All GPCRs share a structural motif consisting of seven membrane-spanning helices, and exist in both active and inactive forms. An array of activating ligands participate in the conformation of GPCRs which leads to signaling via G-proteins and downstream effectors. Ongoing studies have also shown the vast series of reactions which participate in the negative regulation of GPCRs.
