Liebig Condensers
Liebig condensers, ideal for cooling and condensing hot vapor as part of a distilling process, feature a straight inner tube that carries the condensing vapor through an outer jacket filled with cold running water. For increased efficiency, cold water should always be pumped into the bottom tube of the condenser jacket and out from the top tube. Liebig condensers are typically made from borosilicate glass due to its greater resistance to thermal shock than regular glass.
