Laboratory Refrigerators
Laboratory refrigerators are designed with special features and options for use in the laboratory, as opposed to simpler models intended for purely domestic, catering, or other uses. Together with laboratory freezers, laboratory refrigerators are essential equipment in most laboratories and include a range of refrigerator and freezer accessories.
The primary function of a laboratory refrigerator is to maintain a defined, internal storage temperature (typically in the +1°C to +15°C range) in order to provide secure storage and protection of temperature-sensitive products, samples, specimens, chemicals, drugs, solutions, and other substances.
Laboratory refrigerators are manufactured in a range of capacities and dimensions. They are usually supplied with one or more shelves, compartments, and/or drawers, which may often be height-adjustable or reconfigurable. Benchtop, under-counter, or upright, floor-standing models are available to suit overall storage requirements and installation space.
