Centrifuge Bottles

Centrifuge bottles are used for numerous applications, including large-volume pelleting, DNA isolation, protein purification and sample storage. The bottles, manufactured from polypropylene or polycarbonate, are designed for low- to moderate-speed biological and chemical sample centrifugation. For higher speeds or hazardous materials, a leak-proof seal is recommended. Polypropylene centrifuge bottles provide excellent mechanical strength and clarity, while polypropylene centrifuge bottles are noted for their excellent chemical resistance. Centrifuge bottles should typically be filled to at least 80 percent capacity for proper performance.
