Viral Production Medium is a chemically defined, serum-free, and protein-free medium for growth and transfection of Viral Production Cells 2.0.

Gibco Viral Production Medium is a chemically defined, serum-free, and protein-free medium. It is animal origin-free and specially developed for growth and transfection of Viral Production Cells 2.0 (suspension-adapted HEK 293F-derived cells).

  • For adeno-associated virus (AAV) production as part of the AAV-MAX Helper-Free AAV Production System
  • Supports growth of suspension Viral Production Cells 2.0 to densities of over 1.2 x 107 cells/mL
  • Enables production of high AAV titers, greater than 5 x 1010 vg/mL (unpurified)
  • Supports growth and transfection of Viral Production Cells 2.0 from shake flask to bioreactor scales
  • Viral Production Medium requires supplementation with 4 mM GlutaMAX Supplement (Cat. No. 35050038) prior to use
