Description
TMB (3,3â,5,5â-Tetramethylbenzidine) is a substrate for horseradish peroxidase (HRP). During the enzymatic reaction the TMB substrate will result in a blue color that can be read on a spectrophotometer at 650nm. This kinetic reaction can be stopped using 1M phosphoric acid resulting in a color change to yellow that can be read at 450nm.
