Description

Beetle luciferin (also known as D-luciferin) is synthesized as the monopotassium salt and is a substrate for the beetle luciferase reporter systems.

  • Use in solution assays in which the production of light can be monitored with either a luminometer or a scintillation counter
  • Can penetrate cell membranes, allowing transformed cells to be monitored for luciferase activity
