Gibco Primary Rat Cortex Neurons (RCNs) are isolated and cryopreserved from day-18 Fischer 344 rat embryos. These cryopreserved RCNs offer a flexible, ready-to-use, and high-quality source of cells for neuronal experiments. They consistently yield post-thaw viability in the range of 50–80% and maintain high neuronal purity. Cryopreserved neurons are suitable for various applications requiring primary rat brain neurons, including patch-clamp electrophysiology, MEA, neurite outgrowth, synaptic protein expression, and neuron toxicity assays.
