Description
Biotin-4-fluorescein can be used to quantitate available biotin-binding sites or the concentration of avidin or streptavidin through the strong quenching associated when this molecule binds to avidin.
To make a concentrated stock solution of up to 1 mM, dissolve in either anhydrous DMSO, DMF or 100% methanol. Stock solutions should be stored frozen, desiccated and protected from light.
