Slips
- Cause: Wet floors, loose mats, and slippery flooring
- Solution: Clean spills immediately or clearly mark the location of the spill with a wet floor sign, install secure floor mats, select appropriate footwear, and set up good housekeeping standards
Trips
- Cause: Cluttered walkways, poor lighting, and uneven walking surfaces
- Solution: Keep walkways clear, cover cables and cords, select footwear that fits properly, make sure work areas are well lit, and ensure even walking surfaces
Falls
- Cause: Elevated walkways or work platforms, wet floors, and cluttered aisles
- Solution: Remind workers to pay attention to their surroundings, walk at an appropriate pace, and be prepared with the right equipment
