Description

Suitable for conveniently introducing the sample without causing the system to leak. Improper septa decompose under the high-temperature conditions of capillary inlets causing baseline disruption and ghost peaks in a chromatogram.

For use with:

  • Minimizing extraction onto or loss of analytes off the solid phase microextraction (SPME) fiber from the vial during analysis by GC-MS
  • Avoiding carrier gas leaks, extraneous peaks, and phthalate contamination in GC instruments
  • Use in conjunction with a thick needle protector to avoid damage to GC instruments irreversibly caused by microsyringes
  • Influent sampling ports in gas chromatographs
