Description
Thermo Scientific S4T Centrifuges are standard with an easy-to-use keypad and high-contrast LCD display. This high-capacity and versatile unit helps optimize performance to support everyday applications. Quickly and securely swap between 13 rotor options with the tool-less Thermo Scientific Auto-Lock Rotor Exchange. Available for purchase individually or in convenient application-based packages. Cell culture packages include the centrifuge, rotor, Thermo Scientific ClickSeal Biocontainment Lids and a set of four 15 mL and 50 mL conical tube adapters. Blood tube packages include the centrifuge, rotor, ClickSeal biocontainment lids and a set of four 5/7 mL and 9/10 mL blood tube adapters.
Performance features:
- Thermo Scientific™ SMARTSpin Imbalance Detection helps maximize acceleration, braking and residual load imbalance for each rotor and bucket to optimize safety and improve separations
- High rotor speeds and flexibility with 13 rotor options
Enhanced sustainability:
- Fiberlite rotors weigh up to 60% less than metal equivalent rotors and therefore accelerate/decelerate faster translating into reduced energy consumption per run
- Windshielded rotor options, including the Thermo Scientific H-Flex HS4 and BioShield 1000A Rotors, enable users to spin tubes, bottles, and plates at higher speeds with less energy than non-windshielded designs
- Manufactured in a certified zero-waste facility using 100% renewable electricity in Osterode am Harz, Germany
Easy to use:
- Intuitive controls simplify operation and provide detailed information on a wide range of operating parameters and processing status for optimal performance
- Modern industrial design supports continuous improvement in rotor loading ergonomics, user safety, and current needed certifications
- Motorized lid latch enables one finger downward motion for easiest closing and locking of centrifuge lid, even on tall benches
- Compact dimensions help optimize the work area. The ergonomic height and curved design help ensure easy sample loading and unloading as well as easy cleaning
Auto-Lock rotor exchange:
- Secure, ergonomic push-button rotor exchange in as little as three seconds with no tools required
- Full chamber access for cleaning convenience and helps minimize risk of contamination
- Flexibility to quickly switch between applications and evolve changing laboratory needs
ClickSeal biocontainment lids
- Biocontainment sealing options for glove-friendly, one-handed open/close capability are ergonomically designed for both right and left-handed operations
- Audible and visual closure cues enhance safety and security
- Biocontainment certification by National Institute for Health Protection, Porton Down, UK or TÜV NORD CERT GmbH, Germany for selected rotors
Compliance ready:
- General laboratory use, IVD certified, FDA listed options available
