Protect your sample from proteolytic degradation during cell lysis with these broad-spectrum protease inhibitor cocktails.

Provide broad-spectrum protection against proteolytic degradation in cell lysis procedures with Thermo Scientific™ Protease Inhibitor Cocktails.

Both ready-to-use formulations inhibit most serine, cysteine, and calpain proteases that cause general degradation of proteins in cell extracts. Metalloproteases are inhibited as well. The EDTA-free formulation is ideal for preparing samples that will be analyzed by 2D gel electrophoresis. The refrigerator-stable, 100X liquid solutions are easy to use: simply add the appropriate volume of cocktail to the sample (10μL per 1mL of cell extract) and continue with your procedure. The Protease Inhibitor can be used with animal cells and tissues, bacteria, plants and yeast.

Highlights:

  • Ready-to-use, 100X liquid cocktail
  • Available with EDTA (supplied in separate vial) or as an EDTA-free formulation
  • Effective for suppressing proteolytic activity in detergent-based cell lysis reagents
  • No loss of valuable freezer space; cocktail is stable at 4°C
