Invitrogen™ PBK Monoclonal Antibody (2C8)

Description
MA5-17144 targets PBK in indirect ELISA, FACS, ICC, IHC, IF and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The MA5-17144 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human PBK expressed in E. Coli. MA5-17144 detects PBK which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 36kDa.
PBK (TOPK) is a serine/threonine kinase that is related to the dual specific mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPKK). The kinase is up-regulated in a variety of hematological malignancies, participates in activating lymphoid cells, and supports testicular function (spermatogenesis). Evidence suggests that mitotic phosphorylation is required for its catalytic activity. This mitotic kinase may be involved in the activation of lymphoid cells and support testicular functions, with a suggested role in the process of spermatogenesis.
