About the SureLock Tandem Midi Gel Tank

The SureLock Tandem Midi Gel Tank enables rapid electrophoresis of midi gels using minimal buffer (∼520 mL/gel) in a leak-free system. With a setup time of ∼30 seconds, the tank efficiently runs midi gels while also providing consistent performance. The tank features two independent chambers, allowing electrophoresis of one or two gels at a time, which saves on buffer and limits waste. The tank is compatible with all Invitrogen pre-cast midi gels and midi gel cassettes.

About NuPAGE Bis-Tris Midi gels

NuPAGE Bis-Tris Midi protein gels are precast polyacrylamide gels designed to give optimal separation of a wide range of proteins under denaturing conditions. Unlike traditional Tris-glycine midi gels, NuPAGE Bis-Tris midi gels have a neutral pH environment that minimizes protein modifications. Use NuPAGE Bis-Tris Midi gels for preparing proteins for sequencing, mass spectrometry, and any other techniques where protein integrity is crucial. Also, use NuPAGE midi gels for optimal results during day-to-day use.

Transfer and detection

For transfer of proteins to a membrane, we recommend using NuPAGE Transfer Buffer (NP0006) for traditional wet transfer using the SureLock Tandem Midi Blot Module (STM2001). Alternatively, rapid semi-dry transfer can be done using the Invitrogen Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 3 Gel Transfer Device (IB31001).

Convenient to use

NuPAGE Bis-Tris WedgeWell-format gels have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0-mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, making sample loading easier.
