The Novex Power Supply Adapters allow you to connect the covered power leads of electrophoresis units to certain power supplies (for example, some power supplies from Bio-Rad Laboratories, Thermo Fisher Scientific).
The following electrophoresis units from Invitrogen have covered power leads to be in compliance with the latest IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and EN (European) standards, and reduce the risk of electrical shock due to exposure to bare metal.
• ZOOM IPGRunner Mini-Cell and ZOOM IEF Fractionator
• XCell4 SureLock Midi-Cell
• Mini Gel Tank
• XCell SureLock Mini-Cell (has retractable power leads)
If you are using any of the above electrophoresis units with power supplies that are not designed for use with covered or retractable power leads, you need to use Novex Power Supply Adapters.
