Labconco FreeZone Benchtop Shell Freezer provides a means to freeze a thin coating of sample on the inside walls of flasks. Since shell frozen samples have a greater surface area than slab frozen samples, freeze drying is enhanced.

  • 1/2hp refrigeration system prefreezes samples to -40°C
  • Stainless-steel bath with two rollers to rotate flasks in low-temperature heat transfer solution; produces a uniform thin coating of sample on container interior wall, ensuring efficient vapor flow from sample to collector during lyophilization
  • Accepts Fast-Freeze Flasks up to 1200mL in size
  • Does not contain ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)
  • LED display of bath temperature from -20° to -42°C in predetermined increments
  • Left-mounted retractable bath hose facilitates cleaning of bath
