Invitrogen™ iBind Flex PLUS Solution Kit

• The iBind Flex PLUS Solution comes ready to use with no preparation required. It is used to prewet the iBind Flex card prior to the run and acts as the block and wash buffer for the membrane processing, helping wash away unbound primary and secondary antibodies.
• The iBind Flex PLUS Antibody Diluent is used to dilute the primary and secondary antibodies. In most experiments, the primary antibody can be diluted to the same recommended concentration as used for traditional blotting, however only 2 mL (mini blot), 4 mL (midi blot) or 0.7 mL (strips) of prepared primary antibody is required with iBind Flex, saving up to 80% of primary antibody consumption. The iBind Flex PLUS Antibody Diluent is specially formulated with bulking agents and stabilizing molecules to improve antibody binding with the target antigen to increase signal intensity.

During a run on the iBind Flex, each solution is released from the iBind Flex device wells through sequential lateral flow (SLF) and are wicked over the iBind Flex card towards the stack region, incubating the membrane with each reagent. The glass fiber matrix of the iBind Flex card allows for homogenous and consistent flow of the solutions to the membrane, increasing the antigen-antibody interaction.

The iBind Flex PLUS Solution Kit, together with the iBind Flex Western Device (Cat. No. SLF2000) and iBind Flex Cards (Cat. No. SLF2010), bring automation and simplicity to western blotting with efficient and hands-free immunoprocessing in as little as 3 hours. Compared to manual methods, the iBind Flex western system requires less primary antibody, enables reproducible results, and is compatible with downstream detection protocols.

Each iBind Flex PLUS Solution Kit contains sufficient reagents for 10 immunoprocessing reactions with flexibility of each reaction supporting 1 midi blot, 2 mini blots, or 6 vertically cut strips.
