Invitrogen™ Human FGD5 (aa 910-1049) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (74%), Rat (74%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibodies, PA5-139751 (PA5-139751, PA5-53948 (PA5-53948. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
FGD5 activates CDC42, a member of the Ras-like family of Rho- and Rac proteins, by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. It mediates VEGF-induced CDC42 activation. It may regulate proangiogenic action of VEGF in vascular endothelial cells, including network formation, directional movement and proliferation and may play a role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton and cell shape.
