Invitrogen™ Human E4F1 Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (88%), Rat (88%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-139980 (PA5-139980. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
May function as a transcriptional repressor. May also function as a ubiquitin ligase mediating ubiquitination of chromatin-associated TP53. Functions in cell survival and proliferation through control of the cell cycle. Functions in the p53 and pRB tumor suppressor pathways and regulates the cyclin CCNA2 transcription.; FUNCTION: Identified as a cellular target of the adenoviral oncoprotein E1A, it is required for both transcriptional activation and repression of viral genes.
