Thermo Scientific™ ZipRuler Express DNA Ladder Set, ready-to-use

Description
ZipRuler Express DNA Ladder Set contains two ladders: ZipRuler Express DNA Ladder 1 and ZipRuler Express DNA Ladder 2. Both are mixtures of chromatography-purified individual DNA fragments. The set is designed for fast and highly accurate sizing of a broad range (100-20,000 bp) of DNA fragments and their approximate quantification under a variety of electrophoresis conditions. The band pattern is not affected by the composition of electrophoresis buffer, voltage or gel percentage (see Table 1).
Highlights
- Flexible -can be run in two lanes or combined in one lane
- Composed of chromatography purified individual DNA fragments
- Ready-to-use -premixed with a loading dye for direct loading and room temperature storage

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The GelRed or GelGreen nucleic acid dyes can be used with our DNA Ladders. Nucleic acid binding dyes can affect DNA migration during electrophoresis, therefore we highly recommend post-staining of gels. Please follow the gel staining protocol provided by the manufacturer of nucleic acid gel dyes.
For fast sizing and quantification of double-stranded DNA, we recommend using FastRuler DNA Ladders. These ladders are easily resolved in a short separation distance after an 8-14 min run.
Each of Thermo Scientific DNA and RNA ladders has a recommended voltage given in V/cm. Please refer to the gel picture in the product information sheet. V/cm stands for the amount of voltage recommended per cm of the distance between the two electrodes of the gel box (not gel length).
Thermo Scientific DNA and RNA ladders have 5′-phosphate and 3′-hydroxyl groups.
