The 96-well Magnetic-Ring Stand is designed for paramagnetic bead precipitation from standard 96-well U-bottom microplates.

  • Stand has plastic base in standard SBS 96-well microtiter plate footprint
  • Uses 96 extremely strong permanent magnetic rings for fast, easy magnetic separation
  • Paramagnetic beads in U-bottom plate pellet in donut shape approximately 6mm in diameter, allowing easy removal of supernatant by robot or multichannel pipettor
  • Stand sits flat on lab bench or in microtiter plate adapter on robotic workstations

It is a personal preference as to which magnetic stand to purchase. Cat. No. AM10027 can be easier if using a pipettor for liquid handling, as beads clump to the side, Cat. No. AM10050 if using a robotic liquid handler, as beads clump in a ring.
