Spectrum™ Chemical 1,2-Dimethoxyethane, Reagent is also known as glyme, monoglyme, dimethyl glycol, ethylene glycol dimethyl ether, dimethyl cellosolve and DME. Dimethoxyethane is a clear, colorless, aprotic liquid ether. It is commonly used as a solvent in batteries and in organometallic reaction chemistry since it is higher boiling than diethyl ether and THF. It is also miscible with water.
