Dewar Condensers
Dewar Condensers
Dewar condensers are used to rapidly cool volatile solvents that have a low boiling point, including chloroform, diethylamine and methylene chloride. Dewar condensers feature a large top opening that allows for the easy addition of coolant mixtures, including dry ice, liquid nitrogen and dry ice/acetone. Dewar condensers are typically constructed from borosilicate glass, which offers a higher resistance to thermal shock than regular glass, as well as extremely high chemical resistance. Dewar condensers are also feature a lower inner joint and hose connection for attachment to flexible tubing.
