Spectrum™ Chemical Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Reagent , is an organic compound, and anionic surfactant derived from coconut or palm oils, for use as a detergent. As an Organosulfate, this salt has the amphiphilic properties needed in a detergent. It's uses vary from shark repellent, fruit fly killer and biocide. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
