Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Both the Pierce FlexMix Calibration Solution and Pierce FlexMix Calibration Solution for Auto-Ready Mass Spectrometers have the same 16 components and produce the same spectra. However, the Pierce FlexMix Calibration Solution for Auto-Ready Mass Spectrometers has a different storage solution: LC-MS grade acetonitrilie 87% (v/v) and LC-MS grade water 13% (v/v). The FlexMix Calibration for Auto-Ready Mass Spectrometers is designed to be used only in mass spectrometer instruments with autocalibration feature, such as Orbitrap IQ-X Mass Spectrometer using Orbitrap Tribrid Series 3.5 Instrument Control Software (or later).
We recommend using the Pierce FlexMix Calibration Solution with Orbitrap Fusion, Orbitrap Fusion Lumos, and Orbitrap ID-X MS instruments.
The Pierce FlexMix Calibration Solution is a mixture of 16 highly pure, ionizable components (mass ranges: 50 to 3,000 m/z) designed for both positive and negative ionization calibration using Orbitrap Tribrid Series 3.1 Instrument Control Software (or later) for Orbitrap Fusion, Orbitrap Fusion Lumos, and Orbitrap ID-X MS instruments.
