Spectrum™ Chemical Phenoxyethanol, Reagent , is a glycol ether and an organic chemical compound. This colorless oily liquid is often used in dermalogical products and often replaces sodium azide as a biological buffer. It can also be found as a preservative in cosmetics, vaccines and various pharmaceuticals. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
