Extraction of DNA fragments from agarose gels.

EMD Millipore Novagen™ SpinPrep™, Gel DNA Kit contains no organic extraction or alcohol precipitation.

  • Extraction of DNA fragments of 150 bp to > 12,000 bp in size from agarose gels
  • Uses GelMelt™ Solution to dissolve the gel slice
  • Adsorption of DNA to silica membrane in spin column form
  • Purified DNA is eluted in low-salt buffer
  • Each spin column can bind up to 20 μg DNA
  • Recoveries are consistently in range of 50 to 90% under standard conditions
  • Packaging: Glass Bottle
