Description
The Human Immunoglobulin G1 (Hu IgG1) ELISA quantitates Hu IgG1 in human serum or plasma. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant Hu IgG1. Principle of the method The Human IgG1 solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target bound between a matched antibody pair. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody. The sandwich is formed by the addition of the second (detector) antibody, a substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce measurable signal. The intensity of this signal is directly proportional to the concentration of target present in the original specimen. Rigorous validation Each manufactured lot of this ELISA kit is quality tested for criteria such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, and lot-to-lot consistency. See manual for more information on validation.
Human IgG1, also known as human immunoglobulin G1, is a subclass of human IgG antibodies that is produced by the immune system in response to antigens. It is the most abundant subclass of IgG in the blood and plays a key role in defense against pathogens. IgG1 works by binding to specific antigens and promoting their clearance from the body through various mechanisms, including phagocytosis and complement activation. IgG1 is also involved in other immune responses, such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and neutralization of toxins. Human IgG1 can be used in research to study the immune response to pathogens and to develop diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions for infectious and autoimmune diseases.Specifications
