Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link™ NHS-Biotin
Biotinylate protein amines (e.g., lysines) with a simple, short (13.5A), NHS-ester biotinylation reagent containing a membrane-permeable spacer arm for intracellular labeling.
Supplier: Thermo Scientific™ 20217
Description
Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link NHS-Biotin is the simplest NHS-ester activated biotinylation reagent for labeling primary amines (e.g., protein lysines), whose membrane permeability enables it to be used for general intracellular labeling.
Highlights:
- Forms stable amide bonds
- Reacts with primary amines at pH 7-9
- Must be dissolved in DMSO or DMF and can then be transferred to an aqueous reaction solution
- Contains a shorter spacer arm than NHS-LC-Biotin
- Penetrates cell membranes because it is uncharged
