Potent CYP17A1 inhibitor

Abiraterone acetate is a potent CYP17A1 inhibitor (IC50 values are 17 nM and 18 nM for 17,20-lyase activity and 17α-hydroxylase activity, respectively). Inhibits intratumor androgen synthesis in prostate cancer.
