Used in conjunction with the Kirby-Bauer method of antibiotic testing. Whatman™ Antibiotic Assay Discs determine the type of causal agent of infectious diseases and their sensitivity to antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents.

Antibiotic assay discs are used for determining the type of causal agent of infectious diseases and for checking their sensitivity to antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents in vitro by means of the inhibition zone determination method.
