TGF alpha Monoclonal Antibody (MF9), Biotin, Invitrogen™
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen MA513904
Description
MA5-13904 targets Transforming Growth Factor alpha in WB applications and shows reactivity with Bovine, Human, mouse, and Rat samples. The MA5-13904 immunogen is a 17-amino acid synthetic peptide from the carboxyl-terminus of Rat TGFalpha.
TGF-alpha is an EGF-related polypeptide growth factor that signals through the EGF receptor, and stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of epidermal and epithelial cells. It is produced by monocytes, keratinocytes, and various tumor cells. TGF-alpha induces anchorage-independence transformation in cultured cells. Human, murine and rat TGF-alpha are cross-species reactive. TGFalpha (aa 50) is a growth factor with 33% homology to EGF, binds to EGFR, activates tyrosine phosphorylation of the receptor, and stimulates cell proliferation. It plays a role in tumor initiation by inducing the reversible transformed phenotype.Specifications
