Sorbic acid is used as a preservative and is found in food, cosmetics, and other household products. It prevents the growth of mold, yeast, and fungi. It acts as a stabilizers and antioxidants.
Solubility
It is hardly soluble in water but soluble in glacial acetic acid, ethanol, propane diol.
