Description
In the manufacture of fertilizers and explosives, in organic synthesis, in metallurgy, in photoengraving, in etching steel, in rubber chemicals, and in reprocessing nuclear fuelsMain commercial usage is in the production of fertilizers and reagent for nitration. It implies in the applications for the production of explosives, nylon precursors, and specialty organic compounds. Nitric acid is indirectly used as an oxidizer in liquid-fueled rockets for determining trace level metals in solutions. It is used as a chemical doping agent for organic semiconductors, and in purification processes for raw carbon nanotubes, artificially age pine and maple.
