Invitrogen™ Natalizumab Chimeric Recombinant Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (Natalizumab)
Mouse Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA551611
Description
This antibody binds to the alpha 4 binds subunit of alpha 4 Beta 1 (also known as very late antigen 4 [VLA-4] or CD49d-CD29) and alpha 4 Beta 7 integrin.
Natalizumab is a recombinant, humanized monoclonal antibody, binds to alpha4beta1-integrinand blocks its interaction with vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1). Natalizumab can be used for the treatment of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis and Crohn's disease. Natalizumab is also the first targeted therapy which blocks an essential mechanism for lymphocyte entry to the CNS and thus prevents acute demyelinating relapses.Specifications
