The MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit is used for post-sequencing clean-up in the MicroSEQ ID workflow.

The MicroSEQ™ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit is used for post-sequencing clean-up in the MicroSEQ™ ID workflow. It includes the 8-well strips that are part of the MicroSEQ™ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Kit (Cat. No. A33246) but does not include the 96-well receiver plate. The gel filtration matrix used in the strip cartridges provides a convenient and simple way to remove dye terminators, dNTPs, salts, and residual primers from cycle sequencing reactions.

The MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit can be used downstream of the following sequencing kits:

  • MicroSEQ™ 500 16S rDNA Sequencing Kit
  • MicroSEQ™ Full Gene 16S rDNA Sequencing Kit
  • MicroSEQ™ D2 rDNA Fungal Sequencing Kit

The kit consists of twelve 8-well strips suitable for 96 sequencing samples. It is ideal for low- to medium-throughput microbial-identification workflows. The end products can be used directly for sequencing on any Applied Biosystems™ genetic analyzers.

How do Phasemaker Tubes work?

Phasemaker Tubes work on the principle of density gradient centrifugation. Phasemaker Tubes contain a thick liquid polymer that is heavier than the aqueous phase of the TRIzol Reagent mix, but lighter than the organic phase, so after centrifugation, the polymer positions itself between these two layers and forms an exclusive physical barrier. It separates and completely isolates the upper aqueous phase from the organic phase underneath, making it very easy to aspirate the upper phase containing the RNA.

How long is the MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit (Cat. No. A33256) stable for?

The product is guaranteed stable for one year when stored properly at 4 degrees C.

Can I store the MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit (Cat. No. A33256) at room temperature (20-24 degrees C)?

Yes. The kit contents are stable when stored in their original packaging at room temperature for up to 4 weeks. However, the recommended storage condition is at 4 degrees C.

How many sequencing samples is the MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit (Cat. No. A33256) sufficient for?

The MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit is sufficient for 96 sequencing samples.

What are the catalog numbers for the MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up Kits?

Here the kits with the catalog numbers:

- MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Kit (Cat. No. A33246)
- MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up Plates Kit (Cat. No.A33245)
- MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit (Cat. No. A33256)

What is included in the MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit (Cat. No. A33256)?

The kits consists of twelve 8-well strips suitable for 96 sequencing samples.

How long is the MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips good for use once opened?

Strips should be used within 2 weeks of opening. We recommend returning unused strips from the 96-well plate holder to the foil package, sealing, and storing at 4 degrees C.

What is the minimum reaction volume for use of the MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit (Cat. No. A33256)?

The minimum reaction volume is 5 µL. The reaction volume should be brought up to at least 5 µL with distilled water before adding to the 8-well strips.

What is the storage condition for the MicroSEQ ID Ultra Sequencing Clean-up 8-Strips Refill Kit (Cat. No. A33256)?

The kit is stable when stored for 12 months at 4 degrees C or for 4 weeks at ambient temperature (20-24 degrees C).
