Leadmium™ Green AM dye

The proprietary Leadmium™ Green AM dye from Molecular Probes™ provides researchers with a unique tool to specifically measure intracellular lead and cadmium levels with high sensitivity. While standards assays exist for measuring lead and cadmium in solution, the unique Leadmium™ Green AM indicator was specifically designed to detect these toxic environmental contaminants inside living cells.

  • Highly specific indicator for intracellular measurements of lead and cadmium
  • Flexible format allows use on multiple formats - flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy imaging and plate readers
  • Bright fluorescence and high discrimination from calcium allows detection of nanomolar levels of lead and micromolar levels of cadmium
  • Convenient excitation with 488 nm laser line
  • The Leadmium™ Green AM dye is readily loaded and is retained very well following esterase cleavage of the acetoxymethyl group
