Description

For determining moisture loss on drying in tablets, troches, or capsules

Sample is weighed, transferred to the flask, and placed in a vacuum oven. Drying is done in the oven at a temperature of 60°C and a pressure of 5mm or less of mercury for three hours. The percent of loss is then calculated.
