Invitrogen™ IL2RG Recombinant Rat Monoclonal Antibody (3E12)

Description
This conformation-dependent antibody binds to the murine common gamma-chain, shared by the IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, IL-15, and IL-21 receptor complexes. It recognises an epitope located in a membrane-proximal portion of the common gamma-chain, near Arg-197 of domain 2. This antibody does not cross-react with COS7 cells transfected with rat common gamma-chain cDNA.
IL2RG is an important signaling component of many interleukin receptors, including those of interleukin -2, -4, -7 and -21, and is thus referred to as the common gamma chain. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (XSCID), as well as X-linked combined immunodeficiency (XCID), a less severe immunodeficiency disorder.
