Invitrogen™ Human SI-CLP (aa 32-109) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (87%), Rat (87%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-58761 (PA5-58761. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
SI-CLP detects human Stabilin-interacting chitinase like protein (SI-CLP), a novel member of the Glyco-18-domain containing protein family. SI-CLP is a secretory protein which is up-regulated in response to interleukin-4 and dexamethasone in activated macrophages. SI-CLP is also expressed by T- and B-lymphocytes, and by cells of monocytic and epithelial origin. SI-CLP is the ligand for stabilin-1, an intracellular sorting receptor which sorts SI-CLP into late endosomes and secretory lysosomes in activated macrophages.
