Description

Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (94%), Rat (94%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-59512. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Plays a role in the regulation of cell shape and polarity. Plays a role in cellular protein transport, including protein transport away from primary cilia. Neuroprotective protein, which acts by sequestring GAPDH in the cytosol and prevent the apoptotic function of GAPDH in the nucleus. Competes with SIAH1 for binding GAPDH. Does not regulate lysosomal morphology and distribution (PubMed:14668488). Binds to RAB10 following LRRK2-mediated RAB10 phosphorylation which leads to inhibition of ciliogenesis (PubMed:30398148).
