Invitrogen™ Human PALM (aa 314-387) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (76%), Rat (76%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-59690 (PA5-59690. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
This gene encodes a member of the paralemmin protein family. The product of this gene is a prenylated and palmitoylated phosphoprotein that associates with the cytoplasmic face of plasma membranes and is implicated in plasma membrane dynamics in neurons and other cell types. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified, but the full-length nature of only two transcript variants has been determined.
