Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (57%), Rat (57%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-58729 (PA5-58729. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The protein encoded by this gene contains a type 1 thrombospondin domain, which is present in thrombospondin, a number of proteins involved in the complement pathway, as well as in extracellular matrix proteins. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
