Invitrogen™ Human GSG2 (aa 682-768) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (80%), Rat (80%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-55608 (PA5-55608. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
GSG2 (haspin) is a conserved kinase required for mitosis. GSG2 phosphorylates histone H3 and is viewed as a potential therapeutic target for oncology. GSG2 is required for normal alignment of chromosomes at metaphase.
