Gibco™ Human FGF-6 Recombinant Protein
Recombinant Protein
Supplier: Gibco™ PHG0174
Description
Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of ≤0.5 mg/mL. Do not vortex. This solution can be stored at 2°C to 8°C for up to 1 week. For extended storage, it is recommended to further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein, such as 0.1% BSA and store in working aliquots at -20°C to -80°C. Storage: The lyophilized protein is stable at room temperature for 1 month, but should be kept at -20°C for long term storage. Working aliquots stored with a carrier protein are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
FGF-6 is a secreted, heparin-binding growth factor that is a member of the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development, postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-6 is expressed in leukemia cell lines with platelet megakaryocytic differentiation potential. It signals through FGFR 1c, 2c, and 4.4.Specifications
