Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (96%), Rat (96%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-110809 (PA5-110809. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

DYRK1A is a dual specificity kinase involved in cell proliferation. The gene for DYRK1A is located in the Down syndrome critical region of chromosome 21, and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of this disease. DYRK1A catalyzes the transition of 3-phosphoglycerate into 3-phosphohydroxypyruvate, which is the first and rate-limiting step in the phosphorylated pathway of serine biosynthesis, using NAD+/NADH as a cofactor.
