Invitrogen™ Human DENND5A (aa 815-867) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (92%), Rat (92%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-63049 (PA5-63049. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
DENND5A (DENN domain-containing protein 5A) is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) which activates RAB6A and RAB39A/RAB39B. It promotes the exchange of GDP to GTP by converting inactive GDP-bound Rab proteins to their active GTP form. DENND5A is also involved in the negative regulation of neurtie outgrowth. Mutations affecting this gene can result in epileptic encephalopathy, early infantile, 49 (EIEE49).
