Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (88%), Rat (88%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-59077. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Negatively regulates the transcriptional activator activity of SPIN1 via inhibition of its histone methyl-binding ability. Represses the expression of a number of SPIN1-regulated genes and the SPIN1-mediated activation of the Wnt signaling pathway. Can also inhibit the histone methyl-binding abilities of SPIN2A, SPIN2B, SPIN3 and SPIN4 (PubMed:29061846). [UniProt].
