Invitrogen™ Human ADAM20 Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (45%), Rat (45%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-63714 (PA5-63714. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. The expression of this gene is testis-specific.
